Couch surfing Experience

Couch surfing: I got this thru a friend of mine. Who entered the website. www.couchsurfing.org that is a community for couch surfing. He ( my friend ) introduced me to that site. And I'm now subscripted to it since November 2008. Since my subscription to it haven't been traveling jet. But it will come.

- [ 2009 Host Experience ]
  -  May, 4th till 6th: I hosted to 2 girls ( Melissa and Ana ) from Mexico This were a very nice experience. I met one before on the    internet ( via www.couchsurfing.org ) and since we had met each there. We stayed in touch by msn. We chatted every day almost to build a good trust to each other. I met them in Tilburg on the 4th of may when I picked them from the Train Station. The Day After The girls explored Tilburg. Because I had to work I couldn't join them during the city visit... In the evening after my work we met in the centre of Tilburg. And I showed them some nice places of Tilburg.

It looked also for me. That I began to be a tourist in own town. I didn't knew some parts so that began to be new for me. Now I know to find them so I could show them to the others. Who may stay to visit Tilburg and surroundings. ( Mexican guests )

  -  May, 8th: In the days the stayed at my place we made an appointment. When I could get some time to catch them up in Amsterdam I would do that. I had some earlier time of at work. And I drove to Amsterdam to meet them there. We had some very nice time more than we could expect but still to short. We all liked the days we met. Especially when your all are look like tourists in Amsterdam it would be nice. We took some boat trip thru the canals. And took some drinks in 2 pubs in Amsterdam. After we had a great time we said goodbye at Amsterdam Central Station. Where the left for Berlin and I back home to Tilburg.  That was the First Time Experience of Hosting Couch Surfers at my place.

  -  August, 12th: From this day I hosted 2 friendly American guys ( Cody & Loren ). They where on their travel journey thru Europe. And it was their first week. I hosted them for 3 nights and gave them some tips / and showed them the city of Tilburg. It was a nice and great time to have them as visitors to my place. On the 15th of August I drop them off in Antwerp when I where on my way to a birthday together with a friend. ( American guests )

  -  December, 9th - 11th: I had these days 2 friendly brazilian couchsurfers ( Aniella and Esperança ). During the days they stayed here we have been to Brugges and invaded Tilburg. We had a nice diner at Juffrouw Tok.. Bit different this time than other restaurants would be. After the diner we went to a concert of Marike Jager in "het concertgebouw" in Tilburg. This concert was in combination with an ochrestra and it was very nice to see and hear. i really enjoyed it and also my hosts. ( Brazilian guests )

Last day my hosts where in Tilburg we shopped a bit and ate at kfc... We had a lot of fun especially with taking pictures with the cam it was like "No Laugh till death" as expression. haha... Funny days / Funny Times / with Funny People.

  -  April, 17th - 18th: I had these days 2 Couchsurfers from Portugal they were my first European Couchsurfers. They were in Tilburg because of a festival called Roadburn. When they arrived at my place. We talked a bit. And they needed to check the internet because of their flight cancellations. Due the volcano eruption.  They invited my to join them to the concert which I did after I've been to Den Bosch for a boat meeting.

- [ 2009 Travel Experience ]

-  October, 24th: I went for a trip to the United States and Mexico. During my trip in Mexico I surfed a couch in the city of Hermosillo. I stayed at a location with a nice family (  Fam. Gacía ). The girl who hosted me, was already known to me. I hosted her with her cousing in May earlier this year. It was a nice time to see them both again and met other people. Especially i enjoyed the difference between my culture and those. I have been in this area ( Sonora state ) for 5 days before I went back to the states and fly back home.( My Mexican hosts )
