it's the 17th of october. i leave home at 5:45h in Arnhem where my brother lives.

We travel up to Schiphol where i have to be at 8:15 because my flight will go at 11:15h.

I have some hours to spend on the airport but those times went fast. The trip from Amsterdam to San francisco will take 10.30 hours. The plane fly over Scotland / Iceland / Greenland and Canada to the USA.

 

At 13:00h we land at San Francisco airport. I decided to take a shuttle but but this was a wrong mistake to do. it cost me 17 dollar ex TIP and the driver was horrible. Stupid russian driver.

 

Meeting at 8 o'clock in front of the city centre hotel. Where i stayed for the night. I met laura, a spanish girl in the lobby she went to do the California Dreaming. and i did the Western Sun. later Lena joint and after a few minutes the trip vans arrived. we met up in the lobby of the hostel en our names where screamed. Of course my name wasn't screamed but that was because the name was wrong on the paper. But finally i did the tour. My group had 7 australians, 3 brittains, 2 germans and 1 dutch.. Our trek leader was French his name was Mo.

 

Out first things what we did where sight seeing San francisco. I took nice an lots of pictures these few hours. After San francisco we drove to Yosemite where we stayed the night. This night was awefull. It was super cold and windy.. I slept very bad this night.

 

Day 3: Yosemite National Park
After a horirble night of sleep i waked up not very good.. We drove up to Yosemite National Park where we saw those large trees. It was our first hike and my condition was so bad. The hike back up was horrible as hell for me the others not. It was a combination of the elevation and a bad night. I and baryl walked easy backup finally i arrived at the top where the van was.

 

We drove further Yosemite Nat. Park in. and saw the famous Yosemite waterfalls. Later the day that we came lower to a normal sea level area my conditions where better. And I was eating again. We stayed the night in Lake Isabella. a very nice campground.

 

After a good sleep i waked up and maked some nice breakfast and good breakfast. We drove early to Death Valley it was a nice experience. The heat you felt and the very windy ground. made it comfortable to see it. The elevations went from 5000ft to -198 ft ( 28 meters below sea level )

 

In Death Valley we made a lunch break the weather was good so we had a nice time and the ground squarels where visiting us because they thought we can have some food.

 

After Death Valley we drove to Las Vegas. In Las Vegas we went to the famous sign. ( welcome in Las Vegas ) took some pictures there as proof we where there.

 

In Las Vegas we walked a bit saw some casino's but I didn't play. In the evening we went with a party bus thru Las Vegas. This was a awesome time to do lots of fun and drinks.. this where the first time i felt so bad. after 1 beer / 2 glasses of champain / 2 glasses of Magaritas and a redbull Jägermeister... I had a lot of fun with Mo / Rachel / Lena / Lisa / Hannah / Ellie / Danica / Willi we where so drunk finally..

 

Day 5: we had to wake up early because we would leave at 9.
This was a wierd day our trek leader overslept a bit and the others went for a breakfast so the others where late i stayed at the van because some one was for the trailer responsible. I reconized mo was a bit irritated. so we didn't stop for a lunch break and drove directly to the grand canyon. Mo wasn't bit attention on his petrol level. So i asked him if we didn't need some gas otherwise we won't get in to the grand canyon. Mo was a bit shocked. when he saw the level of the patrol..

 

Some of us where going with the helicopter thru the grand canyon and some of us didn't go so they put up the tent for every one. this went very fast. and we where going to see the sunset above the grand canyon. this was a nice view to see. After this sunset we went for a pizza in a nearby town. The night in in the grand canyon was old -3 degrees freezing. but i survived the night.

 

Day 6: Grand Canyon to Parker.
This was a short drive not to far so we could relax a bit. We stoped at selisman a route 66 town and ate a burger there. Those guys where so funny. a cheeseburger with cheese ;-)

 

later we went to see the london bridge not much interesting to see. We sleept near the colorado river near Parker.

 

We left pretty early because the trip was long. We went to see Joshua Tree Park first this was a nice park with lots of wierd trees and rocks. An area where you would see the movie of the Flitstones. That was the area what looked to it.

 

After Joshua tree we drove up to Los Angeles, we went to holywood boulevard it was nice to see but very touristic. After Holywood boulevard we drove to Beverly hills but that wasn't much to see. Rodeo drive was very expensive with lots of expensive shops.

 

After all we went to the hotel and spoke together to go for a meal in a local restaurant. it was mexican. and it was good to eat. and we had lots of fun again. After the meal we went to the hotel and drunk a bit. We had spook a bit and round midnight i decided to go to bed and said goodbye to every one who was there.

 

I was early awake and took the bus to the airport. i was to early on the airport i wanted to check in and got the question to take a flight earlier. What i did I called melissa to say that i had an flight earlier. so she didn't expect it. and i had to wait on the airport.

 

In Phoenix we went first to a shopping mall because my jeans was not good anymore. I bought a new one and 3 t-shirts of Ecko these where pretty cheap.

 

This was a long drive but not that long afterall. At the borders it was pretty quiet no wierd things. even no visa stamp in my pasport. But i had to fill in a immigration Tourist form. More not. it was pretty warm this day. So i felt some sleepy.

 

In Hermosillo i met the farther of Melissa and i had already met the brother and mother of Melissa.

In the evening we went into town and i met some friends of Melissa. Paola and her boyfriend and Joyce. we had some nice time.

 

I slept the night very bad i had eaten something wrong it was some food what wasn't good. I went the whole night to the restroom. =(

after some medicine what i got i felt better and i didn't had any diarree any more. in the afternoon Melissa and i went to bahia Kino. a beach town and saw some nice sights. with some nice views. and took some nice pictures also.

 

in the evening i met an other friend of Melissa. Carolina and Ana also we went to a bownling / pool. but played 3 games and we went eating at a sushi bar. i ate a some but it felt to much for me.

 

This day was easy not heavy stuff to do. Melissa had to work a bit so i went with here so i could upload some picture to facebook. everyone on her work was interested who she brought with her. it was nice it was also a warm day again. 

 

We did not much this day. saw some interesting points in the city and took some pictures also again. from the nearby mountain with the view over the city of Hermosillo. this was a nice view and good point to see how large the city is.  

 

Today Melissa and I went on a trip to see the sun / beach and some interesting places. First we went to Guaymas and later to San Carlos. Where my stomach again worked against me. =( after we bought some medicins for Diarrea and i took some it helpt for me. after a few hours and token some pictures we went back.

 

I went with Meli to the car wash where some Mexicans washed the car. Some guy wanted to speak with me. And we spook a bit in english. He was a former illegal immigrant to the US but kicked back to Mexico..

 

Later the evening we went with Paola and Ismael to Applebee´s to eat a bit it was a good dinner I had no problems with my stomach again. It rained also that day. I brought the rain with me =)

 

Day 13: Doing easy and figuring out what to going to do today.
Melissa had a problem with here laptop which i fixt this day. she was happy again. and that she could use it. further we figure out what we could do the last days of my holiday. She pronounced to go to Sedeno. A city in the USA with the same carachters as the grand canyon only smaller and different instead of looking downwards you lookup wards. Only we have to decide and to converse it with here parents because she have to take a car with here and here own care is not good to drive in the USA. So this is a question apart. 

 

I went to buy a present for a friend because today her birthday was and i'm not in the netherlands so i could buy one. and give it later to here. 

 

This day is an easy day not much to do.. taking it easy before leaving back to Phoenix... We left at 4pm back to the States. it was a same amount of time to drive back only it was een surprise how busy it was at the border.. well it took between 45 min and 1.30h to get thru the border but no problemo... after the border we bought some food to eat. Carl's jr. very nice food and tasted good. We drove further and we got at a checkpoint of the states. they checked if we where good. No problem again.. .so now the road was free to phoenix.

 

I felt in sleep of tiredness.. we came on location where we stayed and took it easy we played a game of Rockband with me on the Guitar. and one on the drums oeh yeah.. it was fun. for sure when we played Disturbed - Down with the sickness and System of a Down - Chop Suey

 

We would go to Sedona this day. But first we had to wait because there was a tree less in a garden where you get a penalty for in the State Arizona. If you don't have 2 trees or more in your garden. So after that we went for the trip to Sedona. First stop was sunset view. a Service area... very nice view and relaxed. After this stop we drove to Prescot. A really old town with old buildings and a setup you would imagen to an old city in the US.

 

After prescott we tried to find the way to Sedone. ( Verde Valley ) only the driver made a little mistake. We ended up in Skull Valley. some where else in the south of Prescott. We found a way back to prescott and found the road to Sedona Route 89 and later route 89a.. We got roads which where very curving. The first town we saw was Jerome and later Cottenwood after Cottenwood we came in Sedona. It was to bad already dark so we didn't see anything of the nice mountain views. But it was helloween and wtf it was fun to see how everyone was dressed to a certain character.

 

With northwest airlines from Phoenix to Detroit to Amsterdam

The flight from Phoenix to Detroit went good a 3 hour and a bit flight. we ended up in the dark.. oh wait that was when i went to the lavatory. when the door shuts the light went on but when the lock opened the light went off. so what fuck happened haha.

 

After the transfer in Detroit i entered the plane to Amsterdam. A had a girl next to me in the plane to Amsterdam. we didn't talk much but that doesn't matter at all. I slept a bit in the plane which was good so i have no jetlag issues back home.

 

Day 17: Arrival in Amsterdam.
My parents waiting there and i go to their place to stay for the night.
