Wacken Open Air 2008

Wacken Open Air ( Short W.O.A. ) 2008 was the first Festival abroad. It is one of the most famous Metal Festivals in The World. It's the last week of July and people from over the world will come to a small town called Wacken. It's in the North of Germany just some 50km from Hamburg.

Day 1 | Wacken Arrival
We left Bad Segeberg in the early morning. And during the way we went to see some small towns and had some kind of tourist route to Wacken. When we arrived in Wacken you could see everyone in town was prepared to welcome the festival visitors. We drove the way in Wacken and follow the signs to our destination ( or place where we could put our tent ). We had some other European nationalities around us.

Day 2 | Iron Maiden Night
This was a pretty warm day like the day before. We went some relaxing and other things. We walked around sight seeing in town. Met other people like the Norwegian. They where cool. Later one the festival started and we saw some bands before the Main act started ( Iron Maiden )

Day 3 | Long Friday
Today the festival started pretty early around 11am ( 11:00h) on this day it was pretty warm and a few showers of rain where there. On this day some cool bands where playing and we enjoyed or time on the field. Beergarden, medieval market and so on.

Day 4 | Latest Festival Day
This was the last day of the festival again a long day with some famous bands. Lordy was the last band which played

Day 5 | The day we went back home
On this day we left early some 8:15am in the morning and took some breakfast at a parking near the German Autobahn. We had a nice breakfast and we took the road back home.. stopped one time in Germany because the driver begun to feel sleepy and than you need to stop for a couple of minutes to wake up.

First stop in the Netherlands was Dieren here we ate some bit and dropped a friend on the station. where she went back home. some hours later I dropped a friend back home in the south of the Netherlands. We took a joke picture of a pig for his sister as a joke. I drove back home and where home around 6pm ( 18:00h )
